Draft at the Shirlington brewpub location. Poured a bright hazy amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was light citrus, touch of grapefruit. Notes of nice malt character, nicely balanced. Light and easy to drink.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a large fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of doughy malt, honey, oats, floral hops. The taste is honey, oats, pale malt, citrus. Medium bodied.

This lighter pale ale was almost as good as their Pale Rider, and different enough to be interesting. This one is more citrusy with less pine than the Rider. Finishes with medium bitterness, good balance with the malt. Tap at D.C. brewpub.
