Draft at Rustico Ballston. Pours a dark brown color with no head. Aroma of tart fruit, roasted malt, apples, chocolate, wood, whiskey, mild booze. The taste is roasted malts, dark fruit, anise, whiskey, chocolate, vanilla, wood. Full bodied, lingering bitterness, very complex, strong booze.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a dark cola brown color with a small light tan head. Aroma was plenty of boozy wood, touch of vanilla, and a variety of muted light fruit, citrus notes. Flavor is woody, plenty of bourbon character in here. Aroma has a lot more booze than the actual flavor, as I was able to sip my way through the entire 12oz? pour they provided in a pretty short time.
