[5/9/12] Draught at the brewpub in Copenhagen. Clear deep amber-brown. Aroma of smoked malt (some sausages). Sweetish malty flavor with caramel and smoke, finishes drier with a bit of hops and light acidity. Not bad, a lot better than Apollo’s other beers.

On tap. Clear, dark orangey brown with a creamy beige head leaving laces. Aroma of nuts, burned caramel and a subtle edge of smoke. Full, good malty body, some roasted malt and crystal and again this distinct smokiness - not peat though. A dry bitterness comes late. A well crafted example of the style. 130312
