Warning, Tempest incoming! Blonde with an innocent allure, round and sweet on the palate. Its strength, however, indicates a strong beer, grading to 8% alcohol by volume. This explains its name of “triple”, that is to say of a strong and round blonde. Well built, the Tempête (The Storm) will perfectly complement a brewery dish, such as sauerkraut or fondue, or a good cheese.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 12/08/2017.

Bouteille: Golden, some floaties visible, big and stable white creamy head; moderate nose of sweet pale malt, oranges, dried fruits and hints of yeast and alcohol ; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, more adstringent than soft; slightly lingering and drier finish of bitter oranges, alcohol and pale malt. Not a perfect copy of the originals from the Spanish Netherlands...

Huge, dense off-white head, very stable over faintly veiled golden beer, finely bubbled and textbook lace. Spicy nose, some alcohol and white candi sugar; sweet malts and grains, yeast; Very sweet, toasted, alcoholic & yeast features. Head retains all the hopbitterness. Some pistachio oil in the finish. Aftertaste is roasted/bitterish and alcoholic. Alcoholheat, medium bodied, good carbonation. Delirium Tremens clone?

Bottle as gift. Pours yellow with parts in it, but not cloudy in the usual sense. Quite a light Tripel in flavour, aroma and taste. Easy to drink, but not exciting in any way.

Orange, hazy body. White, rocky head. Nose of flowers, oranges, caramel. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Bit watery mouthfeel, but all in all enjoyable.

Bottled@PBF IX. Hazy deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel, mild alcohol, yeast and some fruity notes. Flavour is very similar in a rather good balance. Not much like the "old fashioned" of the style, but still surprisingly good, especially from being brewed from outside the country.

Bottle 330ml (PBF IX)
Hazy yellow color, small white head. Light fruity, even grainy aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweet fruity flavor, pineapplee, mango in the flavor. Light grassy hoppyness. Not my thing.

330ml bottle @ PBF IX

Pours cloudy yellow with a smooth head. Aroma of yeast, fruits and malts. Taste is sweetish, ripe fruity and yeasty with some maltiness. Finish is sweet, ripe fruity and citrusy with some yeastiness. Decent.
