Designed and brewed by our assistant brewer, Cameron Charness for his wedding this Saturday, this American IPA is named for the UVA Astronomy observatory where he spent many nights as a grad student, and where he proposed to his fiancé, Jennifer. Brewed in the finest traditions of the West Coast beer culture, this IPA features firm bitterness, strong citrus and floral notes from loads of Citra and Centennial hops, and just enough malt to keep it civilized. It finishes crisp and dry to accentuate the hoppy goodness.

Draft at Spacebar. Poured a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was citrus, pine, some light malts. Some earthy notes, tropical fruits in the hops. Light bitterness. Pretty tasty.

Keg at the brewery. Hazy orange, large foamy off-white head, decent retention. Aroma of citrus, piney, berry hops, pale malt. The taste is dank citrus, tropical hops, pale malt. Medium bodied, well balanced, moderate lingering bitterness. Medium bodied, well balanced, moderate lingering bitterness. Nice beer.
