“Hefe” means yeast, and “Weizen” means wheat, so Hefeweizen is “yeast wheat.” Perfect as a session beer... definitely a must have if you're a fan of German style brewing.

Draft at Old 690. Poured a small light yellow color with a small white head. Nice light fruit notes, but lacking some serious hefe notes, light banana, some clove. Okay.

Solid hefeweizen. Cloudy golden pour with decent lacing. Banana, clove, bread yeast. Light sweetness on finish. Tap at brewpub.
