Some Magic from Stu (Magic Rock UK) & some Tricks from Brouwerij de Molen. As you figured, a name for this beer wasn’t difficult to find. Stuart brought some Cryo hops with him for the brew. That was a first for us but certainly not a last. The use of these lupulin hop powders offers us possibilities to enhance hop flavor and aroma (even more), brew efficiency and sustainability. So we’re probably not done with cryo yet… Back to the beer: a hoppy, fruity imperial IPA with the Vermont yeast subtile in the aftertaste.

Taste comprises pine, grapefruit, mango flesh, tropical fruit medleys, toasted brioche. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Decent DIPA action ... clean and approachable.

Bottle at L42. It pours cloudy orange with a small white head. The aroma is rich, juicy, orange creamsicle, ripe apricot, persimmon, candy and fruit cake. The taste is dry, bitter, juicy, oily, slick, resin, peachy, apricot, Cointreau and alcohol boost hit with a slick finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rich and hearty. Tasty stuff.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie July 17, courtesy of Simon. Thanks Simon. Pours a misty gold, small white head. Vibrant fruity aroma. Taste presents smooth, vibrant fruity Vermont yeast character, very reminiscent of some of Cloudwater’s finest DIPAs. Perhaps a little resinous and syrupy by the end. Lovely stuff.

Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Pours mostly clear orange with a creamy, white head. Ripening citrus in the nose, mango, papaya, light pine. Medium sweet flavour with chewy citrus, a little piney bitterness, low bitterness, bready pale malts. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, resinous, more gooey citrus, pale bread, some crackers, orange. Good stuff. Hearty.
