Some Magic from Stu (Magic Rock UK) & some Tricks from Brouwerij de Molen. As you figured, a name for this beer wasn’t difficult to find. Stuart brought some Cryo hops with him for the brew. That was a first for us but certainly not a last. The use of these lupulin hop powders offers us possibilities to enhance hop flavor and aroma (even more), brew efficiency and sustainability. So we’re probably not done with cryo yet… Back to the beer: a hoppy, fruity imperial IPA with the Vermont yeast subtile in the aftertaste.

Bottle @ home. Hazy orange color, medium sized white to off-white head. Aroma is malts, sweet maltiness, resinous sweet hoppiness with a hint of overripe tropical fruits. Taste malts, overripe tropical fruit hops, sweet sticky resinous flavors, sweetish and bitter as well. Quite decent.

Bottle at home. Pours deep orange, nose is caramel, floral, tomato? stewed fruit, taste is similar. Seems quite different from typical vermont IPAs which is a good thing.

Bottle shared at home. Bit hazy orange golden with small off white head. Sweet grapefruit, orange, apricot, sugary malts, grape skins, some bread. I don’t really get the cornflakes but there’s some soft dry breadiness going on here. Mostly just lots of tropical fruit hops though with a decent underlying herbal hoppy bitterness. Over medium sweet and almost full bodied. Very nice.

Draught at Bryggerifestivalen 2017. Shared with Finn. Clingy lacing from a low white head. Hazy golden body. Rich ripe fruity nose, orange up front. Pine, wheat and citrus peels to a delicate taste profile. Resinous bitter support towards the finish. Fine bodied. Good drinking. (Trondheim 04.08.2017).

Bottle picked up from Beer Revolution, Hay on Wye, Powys, consumed at Fairport Annual Reunion, Friday 11th August 2017 picked up at Beer Revolution, Hay on Wye, Powys. Soft in the mouth, juicy, sweet but pleasantly bitter throughout. Quite a good combination of citrus and tropical action, quite thick in the mouth, furry coating on the teeth, gums and tongue. 330 ml bottle (BBD 23rd Jun 2019) on 24th July 2017: Shrewsbury monthly bottle share in Chez Sophie, thanks Simon. Misty golden pour, white topping. A very fruity aroma and taste: a real mixed bowl of sugar sprinkled tropical fruits greets your nose and taste buds. Oranges and others within that family (tangerines etc, etc) led the way but there is plenty of other fruits to find within the lovely hop centric beer.

Bottled 23-06-17. Smells hoppy, tastes hoppy, malty and fruity. Quite dense, malt backbone clearly there, balance is good. Juicy, not bad.
