On draught at Zeughauskeller. This brew pours dark brown with some reddish highlights around the edges. Medium foamy off-white head that evaporates slowly, and sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and a touch of hops. The finish is malty with a slightly metallic hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

EIn sehr dunkles Bier, das aber recht platt süß ist. Es mag nette Röstmalznoten haben, aber kann nicht wirklich hervorstechen und bleibt auf dem Niveau eines einfachen Industriebiers, das es ja auch ist.

(33cl bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, chestnut coloured hue with a fluffy beige foamy head. Sweet, slightly toasted malt aroma with notes of caramel, a subtle fruity tinge and light metallic hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Toasty malty taste, light notes of caramel; a bit slim, light-bitter finish with shy herbal hops.

Pretty aged sample Reddish coca-cola, head in style. Dark fruit, dark malts and dark bread. Faint oxydation, quite sweet nose. Much less sweet taste, bready is there, but with green herbs, slightly spicey, faint oxydation. Pretty light MF, refreshing enough for the style. Bitterish aftertaste; dark malts. Surprisingly pleasing, just not very lively.

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark, almost black with a reddish tint. Light brown, creamy "cappuchino"-head. Very dark and malty in it’s flavour with a slightly burned coffee-like character. Not very dry or bitter though rather sweetish - yet pleasant. 180103

Dark beer with a red tinge and a pleasant gentle head. The aroma is lightly malty and the flavour is watery and sweet. Overall a pleasant refreshing drink.
