A tawny red strong bitter with a malt and fruit aroma brewed with Goldings hops and Maris Otter malted barley. Brewed especially for the festive season this warming ale has a full bodied soft finish.

Foxy orange, hazy: good, fluffy off-white head. Bananaester, apple & solvent, fruity & estery, point of sourness already in the nose. Rather raw, near adstringent MF, priming on the taste per se, which is acidic, very carbonated, with a peppery finish. Esters are there, but the MF really dominates everything. In the aftertaste, again solvent. Way too aggressive beer. The "full bodied soft finish " from the commercial description is, aptly, humbug!

Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Hazy reddish copper colour with thin beige head. Quite spiceyand you can taste the strength with this. Peppery/spicey hop finish. Reasonable aroma. Quite fullin mouth with some yeast. Not entirely dropped clear yet, still pleasant mixed fruit flavour

Sampled cask conditioned at Akkurat, Stockholm.
Orange amber. Appley, sweet and light bodied. Mellow and fruity with some butter and a honeyish finish. It is rare that I drink a cask ale I like this little.
