Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear BF 09. Black, thin beige head. Some spice, some roast, some mild characteristics. Fine, a slightly spicy mild. The Mild flavour lasts and lasts.

Cask-conditioned at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 11/12/09. Dark brown with a slight tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, dried fruits and a hint of roastiness. Flavour was sweetish, with more chocolate, a vinous edge and bitter finish. Good.
