Bomber from Whole Foods Market Fair Lakes. Pours a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, hops and faint whisky notes. The taste is whisky, wood, tea, anise, bitter citrus hops. Medium-bodied, muddled and off-balance. Disappointed by this one.

Whiskey and licorice nose. Garnet black, thin tan head. Bourbon flavor, alcohol quite noticeable on the back end. Fudge undercurrent. Eh, not really a black IPA, just another liquor flavored beer.
