Anniversary XX is a continuation of our innovative approach to brewing over the past twenty years – an approach that has included leading the way in the development of Belgian style beers, a barrel-aging program, the re-introduction of long-neglected imperial stout styles, and the new packaging ideas. We think it’s a fitting crown for our first two decades of operation.
XX is a unique beer, pale and lightly hopped, brewed with agave nectar and fermented with a special yeast strain. Some of the lots were aged in oak barrels and then blended to perfection so the final is a complex, subtle new direction in brewing art.

50 cL bottle (looks like 75 cL bottle). Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Aroma is dry wooden and light hoppy. Sweet caramelish and mild yeasty fruity flavoured. Lingering fruity and light spiced finish.

Bottle thanks to travita (also a bottle from a trade with iowaherkeye that I will cellar). Pours with a white head and a clear golden body. Aroma of oak, spice, wood and dry agave. Taste is sweet with wood and tequila. Very strange but awesome beer. Dry, oaky and light carbonation. Alcohol is there, but not 12.5 % there. Pretty awesome!

Bottle - thanks to Toby. Bright golden pour with a thin white head. What stands out immediately is the intense booziness. Aside from that I can barely sniff out some light florals. Wow... I expect the first sip to burn, but it comes through just fine. Sweet with citrus and faded floral hops. I thought apple at first, but it’s probably the agave. Finishes just a bit hot and the oak becomes lightly present.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 26 Sep 2009) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of apricots, Seville orange and pineapple. Fruity, malty taste with apricots, citrus, pineapple and a fairly sweet and spicy finish. Warming alcohol towards the end. Full body, sweet. Rather low bitterness, but spicy and very tasty. Nice one. (7/4/7/4/14=3.6) Rerate: (Bottle, 17 Jan 2015, as "North Coast Grand Cru") Golden amber colour, hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity, malty, vinous nose with tropical fruit, dried apricots, oak wood, honey, earthy yeast, a touch of alcohol and aromas of tequila anejo (I suppose that would be the agave nectar). Fruity, malty nose with notes of tropical fruit, honey, orange peel, dried apricots, raisins, oak wood and a fairly sweet, vinous finish with a warming alcohol glow. Fairly moderate bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. It’s quite strong and sweet, but really tasty and fairly balanced for its power. Very nice.

Bottle Pours out a orange topped with a medium white head. Aroma was of sweet flowers and light oak notes. Taste some toast or bread notes a long with some of that sweet vanilla oak. Thanks Sam

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear golden, no head. Vinous oak barrel aroma. Sweet and full bodied. Masively malty with well rounded mouthfeel. Intense flavour of lingoneberry and red wine. Not really that complex, but warming and wonderfully tasty
