Shadow World is our decadent chocolate stout, mashed with English pale, caramel and chocolate malts as well as Peruvian cacao nibs. Shadow World is then hopped in the kettle with East Kent Golding before being fermented and naturally carbonated by one of our favorite English ale strains.

On tap at Bizarre, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is rather muffled, with oats, muffled cocoa powder, and earthiness. Flavour is dry, with earthy notes, bitter dry cocoa powder, and toasted malt. Not much malt (or other) depth and fairly muffled. Meh.

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, bubbly brown head eventually fades away . Roasty aroma, coffee, dark chocolate and a hint of anise. Taste is roasty and bitter, cacao, mocha and licorice. Light bitterness lingers.
