This 5.2% pale lager is our rendition of the German-style Helles — a bright, balanced, and completely slayable lagerbier.

Helles Awaits is hopped with a Deutsch duo of hops: Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Magnum. These two continental varietals provide a restrained bitterness and present traditional noble spice, florality, and a hint of sweet citrus.

For the first time, we’ve brewed Helles Awaits with a single malt. This batch features solely Epiphany Craft Malt’s Ursprung, a rare Bavarian-grown spring barley historically reserved only for Ayinger Brau and Augustiner Brau. German for “origin,” Ursprung is calibrated for rich malt flavor and bright golden color. In Helles Awaits, a single-decocted and naturally carbonated lager, it evokes freshly baked bread, honey, and all that is crispy.

Keep the fire growing deep inside… Helles Awaits.

Crisp grain profile. Golden pour with decent head. Snappy finish, and very clean overall. A hint of toasted malt. Tap.

Pint can thanks to hershiser2. Thanks! And Go Rays, Fuck the Dodgers. Fuck the Dodgers for forcing me to root for the AL as an NL fan again, and for in the past forcing me to root for cheaters. So Fuck the Dodgers, Astros, Phillies, and Nationals. When the Yankees are at worst your 5th least favorite team, something is wrong. Anyway, 10/27/20. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of doughy and buttery malts, citrus, stone fruit, leaves. Taste is citrus, lemon, stone fruit, bready malt. Medium bodied, crisp. Solid.

Draft pour at Meridian Pint. Poured a clear yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was pleasant grassy and floral hop notes. Light crispness. Touch of toasted malts, but very pleasant.
