Brightside is a 4.7% lager. Think of it as our counterpoint to Sunnyside Dweller. One cloudy, the other clear, light, and… Bright. One firmly bittered, the other softer and instantly beckoning. One rooted in the German tradition, the other embracing a pair of deeply American adjuncts: rice and corn.
Sound a little familiar? Brightside is the successor to Yachtside Party Dweller, which sailed off into the sunset earlier this year. The new beer’s grist is same same but different, featuring a mix of Weyermann, Epiphany, and Rahr barleys, in addition to the aforementioned rice and corn. And like Sunnyside Dweller, it showcases the lemony German varietal Spalter Select, but we’ve rounded that character with notes of tangerine, herbs, and red berry from another German hop — Saphir.
It’s a killer lager, and we want it all.
