Bottle in Manchester a while back. Poured dark brown with an average sized towards beige head. Aroma of chocolate, mellow ginger, malt with a moderate roasting. Medium to heavy sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Very good, the level of ginger in this is perfect.

Bottle at home, opened with a minor explosion. What was left poured deep brown, very fizzy, light ginger and chocolate.

500ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Big, creamy, fawn-coloured head slowly reduced to a patchy surface. Coal black coloured body. Spotty lacing. Mid-sweet aroma of dark malts, earth and ginger. Well blended taste of dark malts and subdued ginger. Malt roasted bitterness to the finish. Fine bodied. Nice and smooth. A pleasant surprise this one (at Finns in Tromsø 25.06.2014).

Flaske 500ml. Delt med Rune under seanse på Nerstranda 25 Jun 14. Ultimat amber. Egentlig svart. OK luftig skum med litt farge & kremtopp. God kaffe-/sjokoladearoma. Smaken har en kjapp ingefærsmak som avløses av en utmerket sjokolade-/lakris-smak. Velbalansert. En av de første gangene jeg setter pris på et “ingefær”-øl.

Bottle from Marble Beer House, Chorlton. Deep dark brown pour with a smallish tan head. Roasted malts, chocolate and a hint of ginger in the nose. The flavour followed suit with the ginger in the shadows. Pretty enjoyable stuff but not earth shattering.

Bottle @ Århus / Randers newyears tasting at Hansen and Zita. Pours very dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, ginger, light soap note. Flavor is malts, dark chocolate, ginger. Medium body, lively carbonation. 281212

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. ligvjht bitter fflavor. Averege light bitter finish. Oily palate. Ok ginger beer.

Bottle. Almost black with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel and notes of ginger. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, little ginger, ash, little coffee, hop, little sweet and medium bitter.

Bottle @ Hansen/Zita tasting. Black with a big and lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 281212

Bottle. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, milk chocolate, licorice, caramel and hops. Nice and dry finish. Would never have recognized ginger if it hadn’t been written on the label.
