keg at the brewery... deep brown.. thin tan lacing. soft sweet nutty chocolate roast malts nose.. dark lager grain.. grassy fruit

Sample at the brewpub. Dark brown color with some mahogany around the edges, and a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and fruit. Medium body with flavors of roast malt, cocoa and mild fruity hops. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

rom tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty. Mild fruity, slight estery. Grassy and toasted malty. Caramelish to breadish. Bitter and dry. Slight herbal. Dry and slight herbal finish.
