Black colour, average head, slightly off-white, decent persistence, some lacing. Aroma has caramel malts, milk coffee and red fruits. Taste is on the sweet side with a slight hint of bitterness in the finish: buttery/milky sweetness, a light hint of roasted malts, slight red fruits, liquorice. Medium body, almost flat, decently creamy. Easy, and easily forgettable.

0.33l bottle from a sri lankan shop in bern. pours a hazy very dark chestnut with a steady beige head and a nice lacing. aroma of alcohol, toasted malts, cinnamon, caramel. flavour of alcohol, nuts, bread, bacon, slightly sour espresso. dry bitter finish. alcohol feels foreign and unnatural, as if in a beer-vodka cocktail.

Bottle at Cafe Karpershoek. Pours dark brown/black with a beige head. Aroma of smooth dark malt with a bit of hop. Flavor starts treacle. Very. This is not dry. Seems quite different from what we get in the U.S. of A.
