800th rating and one if the last missing styles in my list. Black color with big tan head. Roasted malts, a bit metallic (not irritating though), some fruitiness, can?t quite tell which one. Taste is roasted malts, some fruits again, burnt. Some chocolate. Dry finish. Low carbonation, feels a bit buttery. Full-bodied and dry at the same time. This has much more flavour than the classic Guinness, but the drinkability suffers a bit.

0,33L bottle (from beerExpress, Tallinn). Pours dark brown-black with light brown head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is salty, metallic, roast, malt. Flavor is sweet, bitter, roast, metallic, buttery, with licorice and burnt notes. Finish is roast-malt bitter and has some alcohol. Overall: solid brew. A lot better than the regular Guinness we get here.

330ml bottle. Pours black with generous off-white head. Taste is rich and smooth with a nice sweetness ahead of bitter roasted malts. Hardly recognisable as Guinness, beefed up with flavour and infinitely more drinkable. This is Guinness brewed to it’s full potential.

Pours dark brown. Tan head. Smells of caramel, moka, chocolate, iodine, meat sauce, soy sauce, tobacco... Creamy and full-bodied. Powerful, with a long bitter finish that brings back coffee and soy taste. Rich and complex.

Keg at Delirium. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The nose is rich roast, molasses, liquorice, earthy, maltesers and chocolate. The taste is rich roast, bitter-sweet, molasses, earthy, chocolate malt, maltesers, toasty, light alcohol, chocolate ice-cream and liquorice with a small tan head. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Nice bitter-sweet balance to it. A solid beverage for sure.

0,33 l bottle from EDEKA Mohr, bottled on 11/12/2014. Clear, very dark red to black with a huge, foamy, stable, tan head. Great aroma of raisins, prunes, coffee, dark chocolate and toffee, a bit of tar as well. Wow! Different aromas come to the front every time you smell it. Sweetish taste of raisins, prunes, dark cherries, lots of coffee, dark chocolate and hints of tar. Short, slightly bitter and minimally sourish, gently alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, oily and creamy texture, flat carbonation. What a gem! Very complex, so many different and strong flavours, a satisfying finish, but also very well balanced. Moreish!

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours opaque dark brown with a thick tan head. Aromas of light tar, liquorice. Taste is quite thin, some tar. Light sour finish. Disappointing.
