1/12/2018. Bottle from Tesco Kesgrave, as Guinness Antwerpen Stout, and shared at the 1st Kesgrave 50/50 bottle share. Pours dark mahogany brown with an average sized beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, molasses and dark chocolate. Heavy sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium to full bodied, sticky texture, average to soft carbonation. Bittersweet finish. Decent brew for a Guinness.

330 ml bottle. Labeled as Antwerpen Stout. Opaque black color. Large rocky tan head. Earthy, roasted malt nose is reminiscent of that trademark Guinness nose with added notes of brown bread and shoe polish. Sweet roasted malt flavor brings flavors of burnt sugar, licorice and dark chocolate. Smooth and flavorful with warming alcohol notes in finish.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from The City, Plaistow, NH. Appearance is dark brown/mahogany with nice sparkle at the edge of the glass, 4-finger rocky, beige head with fair retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is earth, cardboard, fruit. Taste is as aroma and relatively subdued. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, average carbonation, pleasant alcohol warmth, tingling to the lips and mostly sweet with light bitter finish. Overall, not sure I could distinguish this from the non-export version but decent nonetheless.

Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter fløte, melkesjokolade, engelsk lakris noe fudgekaramell og kaffe. Fyldig. Noe mere salt lakris i smak, melkesjokolade, kakao og noe sitrus. Middels lang.

Verrassend en onverwacht veel zoeter dan de ‘echte’. Ik mis de bittere toetsen.

300ml bottle at home. Pours an inky black, almost no head, nose of dark fruit, bitter dark chocolate, deep rich coffee. Taste is similar with a hint of caramel. Bitter long finish.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Creamy, light brown head. A ruby tint to a deep dark brown body. Crocheted lacing. Dark doughy nose, earthy and mid-sweet. Pleasantly sweet taste of syrup, dough, and cocoa. Tolerably malt driven sweetness to the ending. Fine depth. Nice. (St Patrick's Day celebration at home in Tromsø, 17.03.2018).

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Svart. Kjempehøyt mokkafarget luftig skum som daler veldig sakte. Tynn lacing. God kaffearoma med hint av lakris. Smaken som aromaen. Lett tørr avslutning med spor av karamell. Grei den!

11.2oz bottle as Antwerpen Stout. Brown-black body. Off-white/beige head. Rather fruity, raisin tones. Full bodied, really reminds me on an island stout. Not really much finesse, I would hope this actually isn't what is on the low countries market, and was brewed gimmickly for the US market. Too sugary. Not that impressive.
