Flaske 330 på Oval Tavern Croydon 30 Nov 15. Mørk gyldenbrun. Lavt skum. Nesten ikke aroma. Svak smak av malt. Tynne greier - men hadde ikke forventet mer heller.

Delikatne jasno bursztynowe piwo z minimalna pianka i nagazowaniem. Smak lekko wytrawny i lekko goryczkowy. Ale bardzo delikatne i slabienkie jest to piwo. Na szczescie w bardzo malej buteleczce.

275ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear gold, no head. Aromas of light caramel, light spice. Taste is more of the same. More body than the Youngs version, but still quite thin. Light bitter finish.

Copper colour. Aroma of caramel malt. Thin and watery. Some caramel malt flavour and a light bitterness.

Golden with a head. Has a full malty aroma and also a malty enough taste. Slightly thin in texture.

Das zweite Leichtbier der Brauerei Wells & Young’s. Mal schauen, ob es sich trotz identischen Alkoholgehaltes und auch identischer goldenbrauner Farbe vom Young’s Light Ale unterscheidet. Der Antrunk ist mild-wässrig, leicht malzig und aletypisch-herb. Zum Hauptteil wird die ale-typische Herbe deutlicher, die leichte Wäassrigkeit des Leichtbieres tritt hervor, wird aber ganz passabel von der Ale-Note und der Herbe kaschiert. Der Nachgeschmack ist mittellang, Ale-typisch und angenehm herb, aber leicht wässrig sowie leicht malzig-süßlich. --> nettes Light Ale. Einen wirklichen Unterschied zum Young’s Light Ale kann ich nicht erschmecken. Der Grundton ist absolut identisch. Vielleicht ist es einen Tick weniger herb und daher nicht so aromenstark, aber das kann auch am unterschiedlichen MHD der Flaschen liegen: 9.6.11 vs. 14.10.11
--> Nichtsdestotrotz ein nettes leichtes Ale aus einer 275ml-Flasche.

Bottle at random Watford boozer.. Aroma is sweet caramel stale malt nutty malt. Golden light amber colour with a thick persistent head. Flavour is light choc caramel thin mineral. Palate is medium high carb, mineral carbonic acid. Nothing good about this.

330ml bottle at a sports bar called Northumberland Arms in Kings Cross where we watched the Norwegian Cup Final between TIL and Hødd on a laptop early on a Sunday. Creamy white head to a clear amber coloured body. Lacing rings down the glassware. Plain malty nose. Earthy malts to the taste character together with nuts and caramel mildness. Bitter endnotes. Not as thin as expected. Decent only choice of an ale at the pub, apart from John Smiths bitter (London, 25.11.2012).

Dark yellow colour with a frothy off white head. Mild malty caramel aroma. Moderate sweet malt flavour with some caramel. A lot better than expected. Breakfast beer :-)

Bottle 275ml.Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, toffee. Flavour is light moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20111208]
