Bottled. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, toffee and some quitee hoppyness. Flavour is bitter floral and grassy notes along with mild fruity and crisp malty notes. Rather good for bing 3.2 %.

[275ml bottle at Letchworth Hall Hotel, Letchworth] Tried this at my mate’s wedding reception in a desperate search for a decent beer at the bar (and having already established that I didn’t much fancy the Courage Best and John Smiths...) My first mouthful of the first bottle tasted sweet and malty, with lots of caramel. I thought I was going to enjoy it, and soon finished it. Despite it having got noticeably less enjoyable with a definite papery feel towards the end, I ordered a second bottle. The taste continued to degeneate the more I drank, leaving a rather unpleasant pricly metallic bitterness in the aftertaste. I wonder if my initial enjoyment was just because it was better than the dire John Smith’s I’d finished just before? Still, this is pretty poor fare.

275ml bottle from the Three mariners, Hythe, Kent - BBF 31/10/08. Gold with a white head; grassy aroma; lacking in flavour, some caramel malt, and not as heavily carbonated as a traditional light ale; dry biscuit finish.

Bottled. This was one of my first beers tasted - the main memories are a very slight, sweet caramel aroma followed by flavours of water, water and a touch more sweetness. A slightly dry finish. Thankfully things got better....

Bottled. Amber colour, rich head. Vaguely malty. Clean and rounded. Despite it's low ABV it is not overly thin, but not really that flavourful either. Low bitterness.

The aroma is sweet and hoppy. The color is amber and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is a little light, but malty and pretty hoppy. It was somewhat flat even though I had it from a bottle. The malt blend tasted weird on my tastebuds.
