500ml bottle. Opaque, dark amber-ish, brown colour with small, frothy to macropore, fading, off-white head. BA supported, or rather dominated, caramel malty aroma, hints of almond, cinnamon, Bourbon, vanilla, marzipan, berries, pear. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel and minimally toasty malty, BA notes of marzipan, almond, Bourbon, vanilla, hints of cinnamon, pear; minimally dry, papery and minimally warming, alcoholic finish.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Rather clumsy brew profits immensely from BA; simple and monotonous, all subtleties stem solely from the Balcones barrels - a bit fake.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy brown with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is dark fruit, caramel, wood, bourbon. Slick body, toffee, licorice, wood, boozy finish, good.
