Caña en Kadabra León 24..01..2020. Color amarillento claro casi transparente con fina capa de espuma blanca. Sabores herbales frescos y verdes con suaves cítricos y lupulinas ligeras algo maduras. Cuerpo medio con bastante sabor. Bastante buena para repetir.

One of the older craft brewers in Norway, Amundsen in Oslo, presenting this “modern” IPA from a can, thanks to Pedro for sharing! Snow white, mousy, thick and frothy head, clear ‘metallic’ pure golden robe. Aroma of lemon zest, orange flesh, yellow grapefruit, dried mango, starfruit, withering green onions, dried kitchen herbs. Cleanly fruity onset, starfruit, unripe banana and green mango notes, fizzy carb, minerally; slick cereally body, some pale malt sweetishness under a mildly aromatic retronasal hoppiness reminiscent of unripe mango and grapefruit with a dash of lime peel; zesty, with a mild but effective bitter punch. Indeed ‘modern’ in delivering a kind of compromise between classic West Coast and New England style IPAs – the tension between bitter hoppiness versus aromatic hoppiness relieved by taking a bit of both. Could have done with a bit more forwarded maltiness for me, but otherwise nothing wrong here.

(Draught at Muted Horn, Neukölln, Berlin, 11 May 2019) Pale golden colour with lasting, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with bread, grain, citrus, grapefruit and a generous herbal, piney bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty. Nice one.

On tap at the brewpub, Oslo on 4th September 2019. Slightly hazy gold with shallow white foam and partial lacing. Rich and intense tropical fruits aroma. Richly fruity in-mouth with citrus zest balancing tropical fruits. A fruity finish with grapefruit zest. Zingy mouthfeel and a fair amount of body. Exquisite.

0.33 l can from Spicy Days, Zagreb. Shared with little Dina. Hazy pale golden, small off-white head. Aroma dominated by hops, moderately hoppy. Pineapple, tropical, fruit yoghurt, candy, light citrus or sour fruit. Low grainy profile. Medium body, low bitterness, light finish. Citrusy flavours.

lattina 33 cl, schiuma bianca fine persistente, colore giallo torbido, al naso è intensa ananas frutta tropicale uva resina agrumi, in bocca è piena cremosa pompelmo frutta tropicale e uva, corpo rotondo, lieve astringente, carbonatazione moderata, ben dolce contrastato da un amaro accentuato e lungo nel finale.
