On draft at Hops and Pie 12-18-2014

Tap at the brewery - kind of a mixed bag here - on one hand, it’s got what I want in the style as far as malt structure goes - the malts are simple and clean, allowing the hops to be showcased well - however, despite being clean, they are very sweet, even for the style, and despite the assertive hoppiness, this never really gets completely balanced out - the hops, as mentioned, are quite assertive, with a complex blend to lend some decent flavor - however, they get a bit abrasive, especially in the finish - so overall, middle of the road, but has a lot of potential - we’ll see where later batches go.
