Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet dark grains and strong roasted malts with some dark chocolate underlying. Flavor has sweet dark grains, chocolate and lactose with a touch of roasted malts supporting.

Keg at the brewery. Near black, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malt, lactose. Taste is roasted malt, lactose, cherry-like fruits. Medium bodied.
