Technically we can’t call this a Kölsch because, just like champagne, the name Kölsch is an appellation protected by the breweries in and around Cologne, Germany. So, to play by the rules we’ll call this a “Blonde Ale.” Light yellow to deep gold in color; this is an easy-drinking ale, with a firm noble hop presence and clean bitterness. Perfect for hot summer days while catching a ballgame or lounging on the beach, we brew our Blonde Ale with a lager yeast and hold the temperature closer to the ale range, bringing out slightly more yeast character.

Growler from the brewery. Hazy straw gold color with a small bubbly white head. Fresh grainy malt aroma. Bitter grainy malt flavor with notes of citrus and spicy hops. Light body with a bitter dry finish.
