500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Think it’s past is BBE, so I’ll forgive the over-carbonation. Pours black, thick beige head. Aromas of liquorice, molasses. Taste is more of the same, slightly sweet. Full bodied though. Not bad.

Bottled (From K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Deep brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some mild smoke and a bit buttery notes along with some chocolate. Flavour is chocolate, mild roasted malt and some slight smoky and ashy notes. A bit wooden and slightly tart edge to it Smooth porter, but a bit thin as for the palate.

A colablack beer with a dense, creamy, quite big and beige head. The nose is balanced. Dark chocolate, liquirice and roastiness, hint of coffee. Taste is quite dry and roasted, some sourness and salt, coffee in the end. Quite light to drink but it’s not bothering too much. Aroma is good but then the taste is slightly too thin and simple. Anyway, good beer.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 29.10.2014
A bit odd aroma with strong buttery tones and some toffee. Flavour has butter, some toffee, distant ashy notes and some licorice. Too much butter here.

Bottle 500ml (K-Supermarket Manhattan, BB 10/2014)
Dark brown color, steady creamy beige head. Aroma is a bit strange ... barnyard? Tartness? Is this infected? Light-bodied. Sour, light coffee and toastyness. Very seldom I’ve had infected beer from established English brewery. To be rerated.

50cl bottle, Prisma Jumbo, Vantaa. Near black in color, thin bubbly light brown head. Milky sweetness in aroma at first, burnt sugar and bread. Not very inviting... Flavor has roasted malt, that same burnt sugary notes, caramel and loaf. Sweet long finish. Thin bodied. Fail.
