Aroma has ripe banana and some soapy tones. Feels slightly tart. Palate is somewhta high on CO2. Flavour is somewhat tart with some ripe bananas and toffee. Also hints of green apples. Not exactly my thing with the tartness and fizziness but not bad.

Original review text: * Old rating, 0,5l crown-top bottle, best before 09.03. Leckeres, schokoladig-fruchtiges und hefiges Weißbier. Karamell-fruchtaromen halten sich lange auf der Zunge. Schön weich.

(swing top bottle; 5.0% abv) Cloudy, chestnut-brown coloured hue with a massive beige foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with a light to moderate wheat-character, distinctive notes of caramel and vanilla and a rather restrained fruity touch. Moderately sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation for a Weissbier. Toasty, moderately wheaty and light fruity taste with shy notes of caramel, vanilla and cloves; almost dry, sweet and slightly sour-fruity finish with a delicate phenolic spice. Balanced dark wheat beer (23.08.08).

Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, very firm and stable white head; a mix of (toasted) dark malt, liquorice and bananas in the nose; sweet (-malty) flavour, quite fizzy; sweet-malty and mild fruity finish with an acidic touch. Not unpleasant, but absolutely not moreish....One is enough !
