Draught @ Brewdog Helsinki. Pours pitch black with a smooth white head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, licorice, rye and herbal hops. Taste is herbal hoppy, roasty and slightly earthy with some rye, pine, licorice, coffee and ash. Finish is burnt roasty, massively herbal hoppy and slightly earthy with some lingering bitterness, hints of rye and pine. Tap at One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Colour is dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, citrus, grass, dryness, chocolate, coffee, hops and roasted malts. Pretty basic.

(Keg at One Pint Pub, 20161118) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had pine, resin and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, resin, burnt malts, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, burnt and bitter. A nice hoppy dark ale. The burnt flavours weren’t dominating.
