We promise not to tell on you if you indulge in this Belgian creation. Light copper-brown in color this slightly sweet and fruity ale has a nice bready malt character. It’s deceptively smooth finish will have you wondering if you’ve already been expelled.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a fairly dark copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Sly remnants of sticky messy lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of Belgian yeast and sugars, some dark fruits, some red delicious and Cortland apples, light breadiness, apricot and ended with some earthy and grassy hops.
The flavor was basically the same blending the sweet to some light spice, somewhat like clove, perhaps some ginger. Sly aftertaste of the Belgian notes. Finish was slightly sticky.
The feel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty nice Belgian ale fairly close to a real Abbey Dubbel.
