Can at Joe's. Pours black, nose is nutty, caramel, chocolate, taste is bitter, roasted, nutty, earthy. 7/7/6/6/6

Appearance is midnight black, with a huge brow. Foamy head. Aroma is chocolate, pecan, coffee, almond, milk chocolate, roast malt, cocoa. Taste is chocolate, coffee, toasty malt, nutty notes, smooth and chocolatey, roasty malty finish with hop bitterness. Not really any maple coming through. Fluffy mouthfeel.

Cask at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Black pour with a tan head. Maple, chocolate caramel, sweet spice, pecan & raisin aromas. Flavours of maple, coffee, pecan, more chocolate caramel, liquorice toffee. Really nice malty sweet action with a light bitterness coming through in the back end. Rather nice.
