Not the most remarkable of the single hop series. Pours cloudy blonde. Not a whole lot going on here. A little piney but the hops presence isn’t huge. Maybe the weakest hops variety I’ve had - not familiar with it but won’t be chasing it down again soon. Some very light citrus, and light palate. Some malt. Tap at brewpub.

(500mL bottle from brewery) Pours a cloudy dark yellow, slight orange tints, small white bubbly head didn’t last. Aroma fairly subdued, hops contribute a bit of a tropical fruit mix, pineapple stood out a bit. Light citrus, seems like lime. Some earthy tones, pale malt in the background. Flavour is tropical fruit again to start, maybe a bit of a berry character, sweetness from pale malt. A lime rind/citrus pith character in the middle, green pine and earth notes. Finishes dry but only lightly bitter, earthy, some wheat, and the long aftertaste reminds me of iced tea with lemon. Mouthfeel moderate, carb soft, on style for APA. This is an interesting hop to try, and that is the raison d’etre of Monogamy. I like it, but feel it maybe the hopping could be more aggressive given its characteristics.
