(Keg at Black Door, as Whistable Bay Stout, 20150109) The beer poured nearly black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, bisquits and nuts. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was ashy and bitter. A harsh mild stout.
