Deep red - brown beer, very hazy. Good sized pale tan head. Softish palate, dry. Fine carbonation. Sweet and slightly spicy. Nice rich fruit cake in the undertone. Lactose sweetness. A little tart fruit as well. Dry finish. Tasty quad if a bit dry.

Bottle at Henrik, Bergen. Has a hazy dark amber colour with a small off-white head. The aroma is wonderful with caramel, sweet berries, cocoa, leather, wood, spices and brown sugar. The flavour is even more sweet with sweet berries, leather, wood and caramelized sugar. Has a rich and slick mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. A fantastic and well-balanced ale.

Pour is a muddy looking brown with a small white head. Aroma is big sugar with some dry dark fruit. Flavor is brown sugar with some figs and molasses. Very thick mouthfeel. This is a very dark fruit and dark sugar type of beer and it looks like that is what the brewer was going for. A decent sipper, and the alcohol is well hidden, that I found in the bargan bin

500ml bottle, seasonal release, 5th version, bought at Vinmonopolet Vika. Fawn-coloured head, close to clear. Fragile lacing. Dark apricot coloured body. Blended dark fruits to the nose. Prunes, plums, cherries and apricot in a rather heavy taste character. The joining touch of brown sugar makes it very sweet. Sharp ending of dried fruits and alcohol. Full bodied and suitable for slow sipping (hotel room, Oslo 25.05.2012).
