Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a semi-dark rusty copper color with a two finger white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Good \"weizenbock\" lace.
The aroma had a super nice blend of spicy cloves to soft sweet wheat. Subtle milk chocolate. And then dark chocolate. German yeasty/breadiness.
The flavor leaned to the sweet side initially and then brings in the clove. Nice blend! Well combined aftertaste. Quickly malty wheat smooth finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as intended by the brewer.
Overall, really like this weizenbock. This one makes me want to love the style as my all time favorite. If only Vermont brewers would brew more of this style, hopefully some day.
