On tap at the brewery. Pours with a near black body with a lasting off-white head. Aromas are strongly roasty with coffee, chocolate and a hint of citrus. Flavors are quite bitter, chocolate, roast. Hops take a backseat; mostly citrus in nature. Medium to somewhat full bodied. Medium bubbles, somewhat dry and roasty in the finish.

Very stout-y black ipa, or very hoppy stout - we decided the later - dark brown, nearly black pour - sticky tan lace - a lot of roast and leafy green hop character in the nose - strong woody hop flavor, but with a lot of roast and sweet chocolate flavors that compliment it well - dry, bitter, almost smoky finish - quite tasty.
