Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelrötliches Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, erdig. Geschmack röstmalzig, sehr leicht schokoladig, Karamell.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, nutyy - keller, light roasted, light brown sugar. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111016]

bottle from Bierzwerg. Dark bown with a beige head. Malty, roasteed malts, no sweetness, quite dry. Shy hoppy touch in the dry finish.

50cl bottle from Bierzwerg. BBE 12/2011. Poured darb brown with a nicely lacing beige head. Aroma of dark bread, roasted malt. Flavor is bread, caramel and roasted malt. Decent.

Bottle. Sweet brown sugar malt aroma. Dark reddish-brown color with moderate head. Sweet, smokey brown sugar malt flavor with a light bitter finish. Really like the flavor although body is a bit light.

The bottle looks good, but very much like Köstritzer Schwarzbier. Starts a bit washy, modest malty, not as roasty as other schwarzbiers. Modest sweet and fruity in the middle, the finish is too boring and mild. Not my favourite.

Säuerlich malziger Antrunk. Im Mittelteil herb werdend, deutlich malzig. Die Säuerlichkeit wird zwar schwächer, ist aber bis in den Abgang hinein erkennbar.Das Malz wird cremiger, etwas bitter und zuletzt etwas brotig. Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,11,12,11,11,11 - 11,05

Bottle (thanx to joss ! ): Deep amber, with ruby sparks, coloured, no head to speak of; sweetish-malty, slightly roastmalty nose; bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit oily; sweet-malty-bitter finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. A robust and unusual hoppy Schwarzbier, really a bit above the average..................
