On tap (Cabernet Barrel). Finally. This is the first batch brewed at the brewpub (aged in cabernet barrels). Finally it is released, and well worth the wait. Pours with a bright and brilliantly clear amber-red body with a small off-white head. Aromas of wood, funk, bright cherries, intense sour, lacto, intense, bright, complex, honeysuckle, wet leaves, fruit and sour. Flavors are completely mouthpuckering, wine, currant, cherry, intense funk and fruit, leather and insanely complex. Fruity and wine like more than acetic, although there is some of that in the acidity! Truly amazing and worth waiting for! My only complaint is that it is a bit light on carbonation during their anniversary week. The beer is dry, with a complex finish and a huge duration. A bit acetic. Delicious! Easily stands up to any of the beers that I had at Russian River the day before. Much more a fruited pLambic than a flemish red.

pours a dissipating to a ring light tan head and cloudy amber/brown color. Aroma is tart fruit-cherry, vinegar, medium malt, woody (about a sour ale). Taste is tart fruit-cherry, vinegar, medium malt, woody, secondary herbal/spice hops, yeast. Medium body. OK carbonation.
