Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Lots of prunes and other overripe and dried fruit in the nose. Very solid body, very juicy, again overripe and dried fruit, some yeast and a distinctly boozy finish with just enough hops for balance. Lovely. 301011

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a lazing beige head. Tha aroma has notes of alcohol, roasted malt, over ripe fruits, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, prunes, over ripe fruits, and malt, leading to a dry finish, where the alcohol bites the palate.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brwn with a huge tan head. Aroma is classic Kent Goldns and citrusy cascade even from a distance, sweet dense malty impression too. Sweet, solid bitter grapefruity and dense malty. Light alcohol feel, yet well hidden by the sweetness. Ends mixed sweet, bitter and light hops fruity. More an American barley wine then a UK one.

Bottle at the Operagrillen
Dark brown color, almost black, with a generous beige creamy head. Very nice aroma, with malt, cakes, hop; later, roasted malts. Initially the carbonation is too high; it has a good body structure, with full malt and caramel flavor, and a mild nutty touch; moderate sweetness, without excess; correct bitterness level, with hidden hop qualities; the final is nutty, and there is a warming feeling from the alcohol. Very good.
