Pour is a nice cloudy golden with a large white head. Aroma has decent amounts of candi sugar, yeast and some citrus. Flavor needs some work. Super sweet with candi sugar taking over everything. Finish hides the alcohol well but leave a berry on thei tounge. Average at best.

Sampled at the Michigan Winter Beer Fest, Lansing. I’m not sure why I returned to try this after sampling the subpar Dubbel, but I must have squeezed into the line when I needed another beer. Lighter than the dubbel, pouring a yellow-orange color. Again, I mostly picked up undefined chewy malt sweetness, but there were tart notes of white grape and apple permeating the sweet abyss of mediocrity. Neither of Bastone’s beers did much for me.
