Lemony hay nose. Cloudy yellow, fine suspended sediment, thin head, abundant glass coating. Hay and pear. Medium body, moderate carbonation.

Watermelon Lager from The Saint Louis Brewery (Schlafly Beer)

Pour is a clear yellow with a large white head. Aroma is some fruitiness with some tartness. The fruit does not smell like watermelon. Flavor is some watermelon I guess but this has more of a lager malt to it more then anything. Of the few watermelon beers I have had almost none actually taste like watermelon. Watermelon has such a watery taste that I don’t think it works well in beer.
