From tap. Pours clear, dark brown with a deep amber glare with a small tan head. Roasted malty and light breadish. Toasted, sweet malty. Bitter, toasted and light dry finish.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark brown colored body with a moderate amount of carbonation seen rising with a one finger tan head that dissipated within a couple seconds. The lacing was light yet slightly foamy and it left some rings
The smell was a light roasted coffee with some caramels and nuts.
The taste was moderately sweet through previously mentioned flavors.
On the palate, it sat a light to medium, sessionable, dry aftertaste and finish.
Overall, this is a decent American Brown ale that I might have again depending upon what else was served.

355ml bottle @ Kitty’s, Helsinki
Pours dark brown with a foamy white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, hints of ash and chocolate. Taste is quite watery with hints of roastiness, chocolate and berries. Finish is sweetish and malty with hints of roastiness. Unbalanced, not very good.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, at William K Kurvi, 20121019) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had sweetness, molasses and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, molasses, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. Aroma was like the of excessively sweet kvass and the taste was sugary sweet, too. Not my style of beer.

A dark brown beer with a medium, quicly disappering, beige head. Aroma is quite sweet, caramell, roastiness, some dark fruits, maybe chocolate. Aroma is quite strange and not it’s not very balanced. Taste is also quite sweet, toffee, some roastiness, again hint of chocolate, in the aftertaste the herbal bitterness dries the taste. Light+ bodied, quite smooth and nice to drink. Not very convincing beer, balance is lost, otherwise enough of complexicity.

35,5 cl bottle @ home, BBE 12/2012
Aroma has metal, some over-ripe fruits, milk chocolate and nuts. Flavour is sweet in a bit unusual way with metal, some brown sugar, milk chocolate and hints of nuts. The sweetness reminds me of some alcohol-free malt drinks. Messy and unbalanced.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Deep brown color with reddish hues and a quickly-disappearing beige head. Aroma of malt, nuts, caramel, light roastiness, fruity notes and chocolate hints. Sweetish nutty/caramelly malt flavor with a bit of toastiness and a light fruity hint. Finishes drier. Medium-bodied. Not bad, but pretty boring.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a clear dark amber with a beige head. Toffeeish nose, some butterscotch and minerals. Medium body, again lots of toffee and caramel. Lightly roasted malt in the nose. 301011
