Keg at the brewery during the March 2023 Prohibition Speakeasy Road Trip, 3/10/23. Hazy orange, large tan head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit, toast, toffee. Taste matches. Full bodied, smooth. Not sure it’s a traditional burton, but it’s good.

Pour is a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma is caramel biscuit but there is a vinegar thing as well. Flavor is a very chewy heavy bready malt with hints or orange peel and some brown sugar. I was scared this got infected with the aroma but that was not the case. An ok malty English ale.

Ecstatic to finally try a Burton ale!! Genuinely unique beer. Semi sweet, very malty, hop-backward. Label description is apt: “fresh biscuits with marmalade in a field of daisies.” Really interesting English-style brew. Bottled last week.
