Brewed in collaboration with the excellent lager brewers at Fig. Mt. this lighter style Fest Bier is an easy drinking celebration of lagers. German Callista hops add a noticeable hop presence, and balance the beer, but the focus is the malt. Organic Pilsner and ‘Pacific Victor’ malts, from Admiral Malting in Alameda CA, add a rich and complex malt body, without any thickness or lingering sweetness.

Pour is a clear copper with a very small white head. Aroma is a pretty decent toasted bready malt. Flavor is a bit thin but does have a nice green hop. Finish is clean and gone in a second. Again a bit thin but there is a little hoppyness to save things.
