We first released Pendulum right around this time last year, mostly planned as a one-off to have some fun with the style, but y’all loved it so much that we’ve made it somewhat of a seasonal IPA to enjoy as this crisp fall air rolls in…
Pendulum is brewed with Two Row Barley and a touch of Vienna & Biscuit malts, and hopped with a well balanced cocktail of Citra, Galaxy, Amarillo, and Chinook.
The idea behind this beer is to find a happy medium between the pithy & bitter IPAs of yore and the juicy & tropical IPAs we’ve seen saturate the market in the last decade or so. We think that swinging Pendulum stops dead center on this one in perfect balance.
This beauty pours a radiant golden amber with an aroma of freshly baked bread slathered with orange marmalade. We’re tasting notes of more candied orange, perfectly ripe pineapple, guava candies, and a very pleasant & soft evergreen bitterness.

16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Amber orange pour. Frothy beige head. Nice lacing. Fragrant tropical fruit aroma. Flavor is more subdued. Earthy malt. Bittersweet hops lean toward grapefruit and lime pith. A bit dry and peppery on backend.
