This lager blends old world techniques with new world malt and hops. A crackery Pilsner malt base and floral/earthy hops paired with German yeast give this beer those classic lager aromatics. Water minerality adjustments ensure that this beer is crisp with a dry finish. The name Petticoat highlights a civil war skirmish site in nearby Columbus, NJ. On orders from General Washington to pull Hessian troops southward from positions of support near Trenton, 600 Americans, under Colonel Samuel Griffin, attacked a Hessian outpost at the current day site of Petticoat Bridge.

On tap at Central Jersey Beerfest in West Windsor, NJ. Number one with a bullet. Medium gold color. Large frothy white head. Crackery malt and earthy hop aroma as advertised. Flavor is light and dry with a hint of minerality. Big bitter hop finish is dry and peppery.
