Le chouchenn VIEUX DOUX est fermenté en fût, lentement, et mûri au moins 24 mois mais souvent 36 mois sur lie. Ce temps permet le développement d’arômes profonds qui se dévoilent en bouche. Direct de barrique, non assemblé, ce cru se découvre avec le temps. Trop jeune il est simple et agréable mais l’âge lui donne rondeur et sensualité.

Le chouchenn est une boisson de la convivialité par excellence, plaisant à tous.

Il se consomme en apéritif ou en fin de repas. Classiquement c’est frais que vous le boirez, avec un melon ou pour accompagner un dessert, mais essayez le très chaud avec un filet de citron !

Measured Final Gravity: 1020
Hazy yellow color, with an old hue. Mild honey and Mead aroma, with some comforting alcohol. Sweet flavor without being syrupy, as promised; some woody trace and mild tannins in the end; less complex than the drier Meads from this Cave, but very pleasant.

Bottle @ AA-Meeting, Western Denmark 2012. Pours clear no color with bubbles on top. Acetone and honey. Very sweet and alcoholic. Doable.

Bottle 750ml. @ [ Tasting by fiulijn ].Clear medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, wood, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, honey, wood, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20110917]

75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with no head. Aroma is fruity and smooth honey. Sweet, honey and fruity. Fruity, honey and sweet finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear golden. Lightly sweet honey aroma with a little wood. Full-bodies, sweet honey with a high fruitiness. Sweet oaky notes. Pleasant warming alcohol finish. 020911

Bottled. A golden mead. The aroma has notes spices, honey, pollen, and flowers. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey, pollen, alcohol, some spices, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.
