Coquito is our rum barrel-aged Imperial Cream Ale inspired by the traditional Puerto Rican Christmas drink. After extended aging in freshly-dumped rum barrels, vanillins extracted from the wood are complemented by a delicate addition of lactose on the hot side and additions of cinnamon, Madagascar vanilla beans, along with the perfect balance of coconut notes. Equally delicious around a roaring fire or on the sunny beaches of San Juan, Coquito is perfect for gathering with friends and family for holiday cheer.

16 ounce can from brewery. Number one with a bullet. Caramel colored liquid has a brief foamy white head. Aroma of vanilla crème soda, cinnamon and rum. First sip yields flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, oak, rum and pineapple, coconut and vanilla. Lots of booziness. Tastes like vanilla crème soda with a shot of strong rum added. Might be improved with a dose of cream of coconut added. Different.
